Peas Hold Firm Tone
VANCOUVER - Feb 16/13 - SNS -- Field pea markets maintained their firm tone through the past week as product available from growers remains in fairly good alignment with the short term needs of exporters and processors.
Markets did not react to India's forecasts that its rabi season pulse crop could reach a record 12.09 million metric tons (MT).
Seeding of the rabi crop is just wrapping up and markets recognize that meeting the current forecast requires above average yields.
