Peas Maintain Strong Tone
VANCOUVER - Feb 9/13 - SNS -- Field pea markets maintained their strong tone through the past week, with strength in green peas more than offsetting any negative sentiment in yellow peas.
North American domestic markets for green peas were steady at the grower level, while inter-dealer markets were firmer in line with rising export trading levels.
Markets were helped by Canada's December 31 stocks in all positions report, which revealed that a higher than expected proportion of the crop was consumed by domestic livestock feeders.
