Few Changes in Lentils
VANCOUVER - Jan 13/13 - SNS -- North American field pea markets posted a mixed finish on the week, with prices nominally easier in the United States but unchanged in Canada.
Markets were unaffected by the USDAs final crop estimate for 2012. Production ended up slightly lower than expected at 493,151 metric tons (MT).
Market fundamentals remain positive, but the slowing pace of export movement from Canada is worrisome because it points to higher than expected ending stocks.
