N.A. Pea Values Improve
VANCOUVER - Oct 20/12 - SNS -- International field pea markets finished the weeks trading on a mixed note, with North American values improving while European markets closed out the week with an easier undertone.
Exporters report improved demand for field peas from the Indian subcontinent, but are not finding growers are as eager to move product as they were at the start of the marketing year.
Canadian grower bids averaged CDN $10 per metric ton (MT) higher in August than they have been since the first week of September.
