Pea Export Movement Rose in MayVANCOUVER - Jun 4/12 - SNS -- Bulk conventional exports of pulses and other specialty crops from Canada declined in May, dropping below year earlier levels but rising above the quantity shipped in April. During the month, exporters loaded five ships at Vancouver with 122,510 metric tons (MT) of peas; while exporters loaded 11,030 MT of canaryseed; 1,500 MT of mustard; and 10,045 MT of soybeans at Thunder Bay. Looking forward, movement may be similar to last year in June. So far, exporters have nominated four vessels to lift 118,200 MT of peas and 19,620 MT of lentils from Vancouver this month.
