Steady Tone in Field Peas
VANCOUVER - Jun 2/12 - SNS -- The slowing pace of seeding this year's field pea crops in Canada helped international field pea markets maintain a relatively steady tone in light trading activity.
Markets were helped by the nomination of additional vessels to lift peas from Vancouver.
There is not enough product in the system to comfortably cover current commitments, pointing to firm grower bids and some fill-in buying on inter-dealer markets.
