Pea Export Movement Improved in March

VANCOUVER - Apr 3/12 - SNS -- Bulk conventional exports of pulses and other specialty crops from Canada improved in March, though field pea movement during the month was the slowest it has been since 2009.

Almost three times as many peas were shipped in March as in February, though movement during the month was down 15% from the same month last year.

During the month, exporters loaded three ships at Vancouver with 113,224 metric tons (MT) of peas; while exporters loaded 45,017 MT of soybeans on other vessels.
