USDA Buys 12,010 MT Pulses
KANSAS CITY - Dec 8/10 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 12,010 metric tons (MT) of pulses for shipment as food aid.
Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 120A, the USDA is buying pulses packed in 50 kg bags. Purchases are for shipment from interior plants between January 1 to January 22 and between January 23 to February 13 for plants located at port.
In reporting results of the tender, the USDA said, "There were no offers for 2,190 metric tons of Yellow Split Peas under consolidation 425151-2 and 425151-3."
