Toughening Pea Outlook
VANCOUVER - Dec 3/10 - SNS -- Field pea markets managed another firm finish on the week against a growing sense that while demand will slow in the new, Canada will experience a major reduction inventories by next summer.
Exports through the end of December are likely to exceed one million metric tons (MT) or close to 60% of all peas expected to be shipped this season.
Combined with general strength in world field crop markets, that would be expected to help sustain prices at relatively good levels.
