USDA Buys 1,750 MT Peas
KANSAS CITY - Sep 15/10 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 1,750 metric tons (MT) of whole green peas for prepositing in U.S. Gulf ports for eventual shipment as food aid.
Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 090B, the USDA is buying yellow split peas packed in 50 kg bags for delivery to Gulf ports between October 1 to October 22 and between October 23 to November 13 for plants located at port.
