French Pea Exports Improve in July
VANCOUVER - Sep 15/10 - SNS -- The pace of field pea exports from France maintained Improved in July, according to data compiled by the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP).
Exports during the month totalled 15,900 metric tons (MT), up from the 13,915 MT shipped in June and up from the 7,385 MT of field peas exported the same month last year.
UNIP revised its export trade data for May and June. This lifted total shipments for the 2009-10 marketing year to 194,785 MT, down 17% from the 254,885 MT shipped the first eleven months of the previous marketing year.
