Field Pea Exports From Canada Open With Firm Tone
PANAMA - Apr 4/24 - SNS -- Shipments of field peas from Canada posted decent increases, moving versus the previous month in February, official data from Statistics Canada reports.
Export sales totalled 426,833 metric tons (MT) during the month, up 16% from the 368,489 MT exported the previous month. Movement so far total 2,023,989 MT, compared to 1,708,889 in the same period the previous marketing year.
The most recent movement statistics reported India was most important importer, buying 344,531 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important destination buying 32,500 MT, followed by China at 18,393 MT.
