China's Field Pea Imports Record Easy Month

PANAMA - Apr 3/24 - SNS -- Started the calendar year postedan easier performance, with field pea imports for China posted massive declines, sinking relative to the previous month in January, judging from official data from General Customs Administration of China
NOTE: Data for Jan and Feb 2020 is not available.

Imports for the first month of the calendar year totalled 165,852 metric tons (MT), down 67% from 509,235 MT the previous month. The statistics showed imports is up 191% from the 57,064 MT recorded during the same month last year.

The latest trade statistics reported Russia was number one export origin, shipping 110,841 MT. Canada was the second most important supplier shipping 45,558 MT, followed by United States at 3,803 MT.
