Field Pea Imports By Turkey Maintain Easy Trend
PANAMA - Mar 5/24 - SNS -- Imports of field peas by Turkey sank versus the previous month in December, official trade data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) shows.
Imports for the month reached 5,141 metric tons (MT), down from 23,638 MT the prior month. This increased imports so far during the calendar year to 346,099, down 30% last year.
Russia was the top origin during the month, selling 4,827 MT. Ukraine was the second most important export origin supplying 157 MT, followed by Canada at 50 MT.
