Little Change In U.S. Grape Output

WASHINGTON - Aug 12/22 - SNS -- United States grape production for 2022 is forecast at 5.99 million tons, down 1% from last year, according to the latest USDA production estimate.

In California, the largest growing State, wine type grape production is forecast at 3.50 million tons, down 4% from last season, and represents 62% of California's total grape crop.

California's raisin type grape production is forecast at 1.00 million tons, down 7% from last year, and represents 18% of California's total grape crop.

California's table type grape production is forecast at 1.10 million tons, up 5% from last year and represents the remaining 20% of California's total grape crop.
