Solid Dry Bean Harvest Progress in U.S.

WASHINGTON - Sep 21/20 - SNS -- This year's dry edible bean made excellent progress during the past week in the United States, nearly doubling to 44% complete, compared to 32% last year and the recent average of 60%.

Initial harvest activity was reported in Michigan during the past week, with the result farmers in all major producing regions are not in the field.

In the case of chickpeas, the harvest is approached 88% complete, down from 94% at this time last year.
