Continued Strength in Peas
PANAMA - Dec 13/15 - SNS -- Field pea markets finished with good underlying strength as markets head into the Christmas and New Year's holiday period.
Export movement and trading activity normally slows at this time of year, waiting for the farmer conference season to begin in January to gain a sense of direction for the new calendar year.
Underlying fundamentals for field peas appear to be as good as lentils, but the inability of the market to register the same type of performance is confusing for some buyers.
