Slow Seeding in India Helps Peas

PANAMA - Nov 16/15 - SNS -- North American field pea markets remained firm during the past week, helped by reduced offers from growers and optimism about long term demand potential.

There was little change in bids to Canadian farmers during the week. They remain in decline nine territory for whole yellow peas and in decile eight for whole green peas.

Meanwhile, planting of rabi season pulse crops in India continued to slow during the past week, with farmers looking for moisture conditions to improve before quickening the pace of seeding operations.
