Sugarbeet Harvest Expands More

WASHINGTON - Nov 10/15 - SNS -- Production of sugarbeets for the 2015 crop year is forecast at 35.2 million tons, up 1% from the previous forecast and up 12% from last year, according to the latest USDA crop production estimates for 2015.

Producers expect to harvest 1.14 million acres, unchanged from the previous forecast but down slightly from 2014. Expected yield is forecast at 30.8 tons per acre, an increase of 0.4 ton from the previous forecast and up 3.4 tons from last year.
