Field Peas Maintain Firm Tone
PANAMA - Nov 2/15 - SNS -- International field pea markets are stroing the mon th on a relatively firm tone, helped by strong export movement from major export nations.
Demand remains strong throughout the Indian subcontinent because of disappointing rabi season pulse harvests in India and Pakistan.
However, efforts to tame domestic price inflation in India is having unexpected impacts on trade flows. Government officials have been confiscating pulses which are deemed to be hoarded.
