Canada's Bulk Pea Exports Tank in July
VANCOUVER - Aug 28/15 - SNS -- The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) reports 12,600 metric tons (MT) field pea were exported through licensed terminal facilities which are required to report to it all grain movement in July.
The CGC data does not include exports in containers or from non-reporting terminals.
The CGC reports exports are down from the 92,800 MT shipped the same month last year and down from the 149,400 MT shipped the previous month.
Despite July's poor export performance, bulk field pea exports set a new marketing year record, totalling 2,211,300 MT; versus 1,848,000 MT the previous season.
