Solid Bulk Pea Movement in March

VANCOUVER - Apr 21/15 - SNS -- Canadian bulk field pea exports rose in March, with unofficial data from the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) showing port clearances were up 38% from the previous month and up 67% from the same month last year.

Unofficial data shows that 139,300 metric tons (MT) of peas were loaded to bulk conventional vessels from licensed terminals and directly primary elevators in March, compared to 83,200 MT the same month last year and 101,300 the previous month.

Bulk conventional port clearances have trended lower since peaking at 559,400 MT in September. Clearances dropped to a low of 110,500 MT in December.
