Mixed Week in Field Peas
VANCOUVER - Apr 18/15 - SNS -- North American field pea markets finished the week's trading on a mixed note, with several buyers shifting their focus to new crop.
This reflects relatively tight supply conditions for old crop peas in both Canada and the United States. Markets will pay close attention to the upcoming March 31 stocks in all positions report from Statistics Canada as well as next week's seeding intentions.
Seeded area is expected to be up significantly from last year, while the March 31 stocks report is expected to show limited supplies of product remain available for shipment this season.
