Weak Undertone Remains in Dry Beans

VANCOUVER - Sep 13/14 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets maintained their weaker undertone during the past week against increased selling pressure from Argentine exporters and growers.

The North American harvest made relatively good progress, thought it is lagging both last year and the recent five-year average in most areas. This reflects delayed seeding and a cool growing season.

Markets in the United States and Canada are ill-defined, with many market participants focused on the harvest and accumulating stocks to meet outstanding sales commitments.
