VANCOUVER - Jan 25/14 - SNS -- International field pea markets continued to ease during the past week, in both spot and new crop shipping positions.

Processors report good uptake on new crop contracts from farmers in both Canada and the United States, causing many to lower new crop bids to limit their price risk.

Markets were somewhat pleased with news that rabi seeding progress slowed considerably in India during the past week.
