Peas Nervous About FH 2014 Demand
VANCOUVER - Jan 18/14 - SNS -- Excellent progress seeding this year's rabi season pulse crops in India has left field peas with a nervous undertone.
Seeding will continue through to the end of February and land in pulses in India has already set a new record, mainly due to a massive expansion in desi type chickpea area.
Markets have become concerned demand from the Indian subcontinent will not be as strong the first half of the 2014 calendar year as was the case last year.
