Canada's Pea Exports Jump in December
VANCOUVER - Jan 17/14 - SNS -- The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) reports 187,100 metric tons (MT) field pea were exported through licensed terminal facilities which are required to report to it all grain movement in July.
The CGC data does not include exports in containers or from non-reporting terminals.
The CGC reports exports are up from the 85,200 MT shipped the same month last year and up from the 52,800 MT shipped the previous month.
This lifted season to date exports to 924,589 MT since the August start of the current marketing year, versus 772,500 MT during the same period last season.
