USDA Buys 6,480 MT Pulses
KANSAS CITY - Jan 10/14 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 6,480 metric tons (MT) of pulses for shipment as food aid.
Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 200002256 the USDA is buying pulses packed in 50 kg bags.
In releasing details of the tender results, the USDA said, "No offers were received for the following commodities: 570 metric tons of beans, great northern and 40 metric tons of peas, green, split. The following tonnage was not purchased due to a change in program requirements: 910 metric tons of peas, yellow, whole."
