Steady Export Pace From France
VANCOUVER - Jan 9/14 - SNS -- Field pea exports from France continued to move at a relatively steady pace in November, with shipments during the first five months of France's 2013-14 marketing year sitting 50% above last year, according to data compiled by the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP).
Export shipments in November totalled 17,035 metric tons (MT), up almost 21% from the 14,025 MT shipped the same month last year, and up almost 1% from the 16,880 shipped the previous month.
Most peas were shipped to European destinations, with Belgium the most important, followed by Norway and the Netherlands. There were no reports of pea shipments to India or Egypt.
