Beans Fixed in Trading Range

VANCOUVER - Dec 15/12 - SNS -- The world's dry edible bean markets remained in a trading range during the past week, with product available from growers and processors sitting close to the current term needs of exporters and end users.

This was reflected in the spot price index for U.S. beans, which gained seven points on the week to finish at 1318. By contrast, the grower bid index was unchanged on the week, finishing at 1239.

Markets were unaffected by the latest USDA production estimates for the crop.
