Myanmar Pulse Export Surge in July

WASHINGTON - Sep 14/12 - SNS -- Pulse exports from Myanmar surged in July, as a massive jump in mung bean exports Singapore made that country the most important export destination for the month.

This is the first time in recent memory that India was not the most important export destination for pulse shipments from Myanmar.

That surge made July the best month of the year for export clearances, with shipments totalling 267,010 metric tons (MT), an increase of 35% from the same period in 2011.
