N.A. Beans Transition Into New Crop

VANCOUVER - Sep 8/12 - SNS -- North American dry edible bean markets are completing the transition from an old to new crop pricing basis as harvest activity picks up in major bean growing areas of the United States.

Most processors remain defensive about pricing, waiting to see how eager growers are to sell before offering product to end users.

International markets remain relatively firm. For the moment, end-user demand is closely matched with product available from exporters.
