United States Dealer Bean Index Review

VANCOUVER - Sep 3/12 - STAT -- The spot market dealer price index for dry edible beans grown in the United States at the close of the 2011-12 marketing year rocketing 28% above the recent three year average.

For the season just ended, the Bean Index was 1685 points, compared to an annual average of 1313 during the previous three year period for dry edible bean classes included in the index calculation.

Analysis of the monthly pattern reveals the highest monthly average index level was 1791 points in February, while the lowest monthly average level was 1586 points in August.
