Beans Stay Firm in Quiet Demand
VANCOUVER - Jan 28/12 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets maintained their firm tone through the past week, despite a significant decrease in end-used buying activity.
Mexico and Brazil had been unusually active in Argentine black bean markets for most of January, but they were generally absent during the past week. Even so, exporters reported light current and 2012 crop rtrading interest for North American origin product.
Brazilian buying normally comes in waves, making the current slowdown normal for that country.
