Myanmar's Pulse Exports Slow in November

WASHINGTON - Jan 3/12 - SNS -- Pulse exports from Myanmar continued to ease in November, though remaining above year earlier shipment volumes.

Shipments to all destinations finished November at 64,104 metric tons (MT), an increase of 39% from the same period in 2010. Of the total, 66% going to India or 42,348 MT, followed by Singapore with 19% or 12,049 MT, and China 5% or 3,458 MT. Additionally, 31% of the total mung bean exports or 3,410 MT were traded with China through border trade.

Toor whole accounted for 48% of the total exports followed by, Matpe (black gram) 31% and mung bean 17%.
