Mexican Bean Crop Forecast Cut

WASHINGTON - Oct 31/11 - SNS -- Dry edible bean production will be down in Mexico again this year, believes the U.S. agricultural attache for the country.

Drought in Durango, Zacatecas, Chihuahua and San Luis Potosi is expected to result in a reduction in total seeded area, contributing to a 7.6% reduction is forecast output to 880,000 metric tons (MT), for the third consecutive year over year drop in production.
