Beans Maintain Firm Tone
VANCOUVER - Oct 22/11 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets maintained their firm tone through the past week against limited availability of product from North and South American suppliers.
This was reflected in the spot market index for U.S. origin beans closed one point higher on the week at 1664.
By contrast, the index for grower bids was unchanged at 1536 points. The changes are part of a broader trend which has seen the spread between growers and processor markets widen.
