New Crop Bean Availability Improves

VANCOUVER - Oct 14/11 - SNS -- The pace of the 2011 harvest has improved in the United States, following the pattern seen in western Canada.

After getting off to a slow start, weather conditions seemed to pull crops along, making it possible for harvest progress to pull ahead of average in some states.

Improving availability of new crop beans did not help the position of growers in the market, who saw average bids lose ground to inter-dealer markets.
