French Pea Exports Tank in September
VANCOUVER - Nov 7/14 - SNS -- Field pea exports from France sank in September, plunging below both year earlier the and the previous month's clearance volumes, according to data compiled by the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP).
Export shipments during the month totalled 7,827 metric tons (MT), down 42% from the 13,455 MT shipped the previous month, and down 54% from the 17,085 MT shipped the same month last year.
Most peas were shipped to European destinations, with Belgium the most important, followed by Netherlands and Spain.
