Logistical Issues Support Spot Market

VANCOUVER - May 3/14 - SNS -- International field pea markets finished the week's trading on a relatively firm note, with spot markets helped by the remaining logistical problems in Canada.

Preliminary Canadian Grain Commission data suggests almost 52,500 metric tons (MT) of peas were loaded to bulk vessels and for direct export from country elevators during April.

If this holds up, this will be slowest April since 2010, when bulk export shipments of peas slipped under 46,000 MT.
