NEW DELHI - Jul 19/13 - SNS -- Seeding of this year's kharif or monsoon season crops has been advancing at a faster than normal pace in response to excellent monsoon rainfall across the entire country, with total seeded area rising 19.8% on the week to just over 62 million hectares.

Rainfall amounts so far during this year's monsoon are 16% above normal and is covering the entire country.
