Pea Export Movement Slowing
VANCOUVER - Jul 6/13 - SNS -- Field pea markets finished the week's trading little changed, despite a dramatic slow down in grower sales and export movement in Canada and the United States.
As revealed in STAT's Export Essentials Q3 2013, Canadian field pea exports exceeded 371,000 metric tons (MT) in May.
This lifted the season to date movement to 2.396 million MT, up 28% over last year for the second best export total for the August to May period in Canadian history.
