USDA Buys 1,740 MT Pulses
KANSAS CITY - Jun 5/13 - SNS -- The USDAs Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 1,740 metric tons (MT) of pulses for shipment as food aid.
Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 200001830 the USDA is buying pulses packed in 50 kg bags. Purchases are for shipment from interior plants between June 1 to June 22 and between June 23 to July 14 for plants located at port.
In announcing the tender results, the USDA said, "No offers were received for the following tonnage: 850 metric tons of BEANS, KIDNEY, DARK RED BAG-50 KG."
