French Pea Exports Improve
VANCOUVER - Apr 11/13 - SNS -- The pace of field pea export movement from France jumped in February, rising above both month and year-earlier levels, according to data compiled by the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP).
Export shipments in February totalled 11,610 metric tons (MT), up 44% from the 8,080 shipped in January, and well above the 7,710 MT shipped the same month last year. This lifts export shipments so far this marketing year to 94,340 MT, compared to 167,770 MT during the same period last season.
Europe destinations remained the most important during the month, accounting for at least 99.2% of total field pea exports.
