NASS Suspends Some Reports
WASHINGTON - Mar 18/13 - SNS -- Sequestration will have an impact on information available to pea, lentil and chickpea markets, according to a recent statement from the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS).
The mandatory budget cuts will see the USDA suspend several statistical reports this year. The two suspended reports affecting pulse markets are:
- June on- and off-farm stocks for Austrian Winter Peas, Chickpeas, Dry Peas and Lentils
- July acreage forecasts for Austrian Winter Peas, Dry Edible Peas and Lentils
