Strong Finish for Field Peas
VANCOUVER - Aug 24/12 - SNS -- Field pea markets finished the week on a strong note against continued demand from the Indian subcontinent.
Markets were also helped by the latest crop estimates from Statistics Canada.
Though up 42% over last year, the increase is not keeping pace with the growth in prospective demand, with the result Canada will likely sell out of peas before the end of the marketing year.
