USDA Buys 12,930 MT Peas
KANSAS CITY - Aug 9/12 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 12,930 metric tons (MT) of peas for shipment as food aid.
Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 200001173 the USDA is buying pulses packed in 50 kg bags. In announcing he purchase, the USDA said, "No offers were received for the following commodities: 460 metric tons of PEAS, GREEN, WHOLE BAG-50 KG."
Purchases are for shipment from interior plants between September 1 to September 22 and between September 23 to October 14 for plants located at port.
