Large Yellow Pea Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/12 - STAT -- Canadian Large Yellow Pea markets finished the 2011-12 marketing year with prices offered to growers soaring 25% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Large Yellow Pea was CDN$320.02 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $256.88 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $334.36 per MT in September, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $299.46 per MT in June.
