Bags To India Must be MarkedDELHI - Jul 8/12 - SNS -- Information about the shipper must now be printed on all shipments of bagged pulses destined for India. The rule takes effect on August 7, 2012. Any bagged cargo arriving after that date will be rejected by customs if it is not correctly marked. The rules do not apply to cargo shipped on a bulk conventional basis or loaded in bulk into containers. The guidelines issued by India's Food Safety and Standard Authority require the following details to be printed on the bags of all imported Pulses: 1. Importer Name & address 2. Packer Name & full address 3. Date of Packing 4. Name of Goods
