India Sales Boost French Exports
VANCOUVER - May 11/12 - SNS -- The sale of a large parcel of field peas to India lifted export movement in March above both month and year earlier levels, according to the latest data compiled by the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP).
Exports during the month totalled 35,715 metric tons (MT), up from the 7,685 MT shipped in February, and up from the 32,280 MT of field peas exported the same month the previous year.
This lifts field pea exports so far during the 2011-12 marketing year to 203,185 MT, versus 267,310 MT during the same period last season.
